Public Service Announcement: Cyberbully

Students chose an ethical Internet issue , then answered the following essential question through a movie: How does ___________________ affect student's learning at the college level? The script was written using a Wiki, Blog or Google doc, the length was to be approximately 30-60 seconds, and all copyright rules were to be followed.

Please describe your immediate thoughts on this movie and how you could adapt this type of project for one of your future classes.

I believe this is going to become a larger issue as kids at a younger age use the internet/cell phones/IM/etc.
Unfortunately, this issue is going to have to be addressed at the school because too many parents at home are not monitoring what is going on with their children.
Strength in numbers is the key; the more kids who stand up against this type of behavior, the less prominant it will become.
Students can view this movie, then create their own movies to demonstrate how this behavior will not be tolerated.

Excellent Video~ I like the way you've incorporated cell phones into the cyberbullying arena - sometimes educators forget about the ever-prevalent cell phone, because it's supposed to be "off-and-away"!

This type of activity really drives home the point that cyberbullying should not be tolerated. A project like this has vastly more impact than reading an article or doing a worksheet, etc. This becomes "real" to the kids!
